"When I was stuck standing (in high heels) in an airport line for more than two hours, I discovered that my back held up better than I ever would have expected. I was able to do exercises I had learned at Pilates MN while in line to enhance my endurance and ease the stress. The benefits of pilate are endless."

Physical Therapy

DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT
Our physical therapists use their many years of expertise to individually evaluate and identify the source of your problem(s). Our holistic treatment approach encompasses a thorough evaluation, manual techniques, neuromuscular re-education, and Pilates-based exercises. This includes educating our clients on their injury, teaching them correct body alignment and integrating these concepts into their functional life. We have found Pilates-based exercises to be highly effective in achieving that goal. We will be including the Pilates mat, reformer, chair, spine corrector as well as other apparatus created by inventor Joseph Pilates.

To help the physical therapists with their goal to alleviate pain and return you to normal functioning as soon as possible, Pilates MN has just acquired a new piece of rehabilitative/exercise equipment called the CoreAlign™. The CoreAlign™ is a standing functional unit that helps the therapist with your alignment, stability, balance, and neuromuscular work. We were the first in the Twin Cities to take advantage of this amazing method that was invented by Physical Therapist Jonathon Hoffman. It is quickly becoming the method of choice for many physical therapist around the world.

PHYSICAL THERAPY EVALUATION
Your first one hour session will be an assessment to evaluate your injury so the therapist can come up with an appropriate treatment plan. Our therapists will need a detailed medical history from you and anything from your doctor that can help with your diagnosis and treatment. In the state of Minnesota you are not required to see a doctor in order to begin physical therapy. It is however, required after 90 days of treatment. Some exceptions apply, so please call the studio for clarification. We suggest you complete the required forms ahead of time so that the full hour can be spent with the physical therapist. Click here to view and print the forms and bring them with you or scan and return to [email protected]. Wearing exercise clothes and a tank top or sports bra under your clothes is appropriate for shoulder, neck and back issues. We have a private physical therapy room that is separate from the Pilates and CoreAlign™ areas.
